Vincenzo’s Supper Club
Trattoria da Vincenzo was inspired by Il Nonno, the Grandfather who owned the land we lived on when we were students in Amelia, Italy one summer. The bungalow we stayed in was called Vincent’s House.
Vincenzo worked on the farm and stopped by our bungalow each day to give us the homemade wine he made from grapes he grew himself. He would always ask me as I was on my way to town, “Jessica, te piace il mio vino?” And I would respond by telling him that I loved his wine!
There were not many restaurants in Amelia. Hardly any of the locals went out to eat. They believed the best restaurants in town were their kitchens…and they were right.
Therefore, when it came to dining, most of the other students in Amelia did not have a lot of options. Since I love to cook, I opened up a tiny restaurant, Trattoria da Vincenzo, right in my bungalow where they could have dinner every Friday night. There was a sign-up sheet at the school and only 12 people would be able to attend. Students paid 15 Euros and received a two-to three-course meal. Drinks were BYOB. I must say, these dinners were a hit and became very popular in the little town of Amelia, creating lifelong friendships and many, many laughs!
Now Vincenzo’s Has Come to Brooklyn.
Hearth & Table’s philosophy is to bring people back to the table, to invite people into our homes, to share who we are through our food and our conversations. So, in honor of Vincenzo’s in Amelia, Hearth & Table has created a new series of dinner parties here in NYC. That is right, Trattoria da Vincenzo has moved to Fort Greene, Brooklyn!
Each supper club event is $40 per person, which must be received a week before the date of supper club via PayPal (link found below this post). You need to have PayPal account in order to secure your place.
For your $40 you will enjoy two signature cocktails and a plethora of wonderful food, while chatting and mingling with new friends. You may bring your own wine (which will be shared by all), or other beverage of choice.
We kindly ask our guests to be sure they can attend the dinner before paying for Vincenzo’s. All monies are used to buy provisions and will not be reimbursed.
While it would be my pleasure to accommodate guests with allergies and dietary preferences, I must be contacted a week before the event with these dietary restrictions.
I am excited to bring the unique experience of Trattoria da Vincenzo to Brooklyn. This is an experience you won’t want to miss! I hope to welcome you all into my home soon!
Heart, Hand, Table
Jess
